Frequently Asked Questions

How safe are Aspen Camp?
At campsite, we believe in maintaining faultless safety standards. All our instructors and course leaders are trained and experienced in their respective fields, they also undergo a rigorous training procedure with us before being sent on any program with children. We use state-of-art equipment and adventure gear of international standards in our camp.

How many adults will be there in camp?
We provide a 1:5 adult ratio at the campsite, with one adult to supervise every 5 children. As our participant strength never exceeds 75, our scheduling ensures that participants are never left unsupervised.

What are the accommodation facilities at Camp?
Campsite is located in the mighty foothills of the Garhwal Himalayas and has tented accommodation on sharing basis along with attached utilities and power backup facilities. We provide mattresses/carry mats/bed/linen/towels at the campsite.

What are the provisions in case of an emergence?
Campsite has a medical room/tent manned by a qualified doctor. Any minor medical issues and general health issues of the participant are looked after by the campus doctor. We have tie ups with ambulance services like 'dial 108' for emergencies. Hospitals and police stations in the camp area are also kept informed of our activities and movement in the area. Is my child fit enough to participate in these activities?

All activities have been designed specifically keeping in mind the average physical capacities of the children. At no time will the participants be pushed to do something that the instructors feel is unsafe for them.

What if my child feels homesick and wants to come back?
Effort is to engage and keep participants excited so that they are enjoying the experience and not missing home too much. Sometimes, and usually first timers, are a little homesick on the first day or two. Instructors are trained to be sensitive to handle such participants. We have never had a situation of homesickness persisting for the whole program or having to send a participant back or call the parents for this reason.

How safe is it to travel in the hills?
Travelling to and from camp is very safe – we have tie-ups with best transport providers in Rishikesh. In addition, all drivers are checked for their history and strict convoy rules are followed. We also have a restricted speed limit for vehicles. Every vehicle has an adult traveling with the participants.

Hoe can I contact my child on camps?
We do not allow any kind of telephonic contact with participants except on birthdays and in case of emergencies. Updates regarding the campus can be obtained from our office by email or call
